LNPP-2 held successful extensive testing of the auxiliary power supply systems under complete blackout conditions.

With the loss of auxiliary power, the automatic reactor protection responded in accordance with the design, all four emergency power supply diesel-generator sets delivered by AAEM LLC started automatically and secured stepwise connection of the safety systems of the power unit. No failures of the electrical equipment in switching from the operating power supplies to the emergency ones were recorded. Also, no failures of the process equipment in switching from the emergency power supplies to the operating ones were recorded.

The unit is equipped with five such sets - four providing emergency power supply and one for BoP, each rated at 6.3 MW. Their performance meets the most stringent requirements for reliability, availability, speed of response and is instrumental in safe operation of the nuclear power plant.

AAEM LLC, together with other Atomenergomash companies, is responsible for the entire scope of works, including design, production control, quality assurance, delivery of the DGS, and provides field servicing and commissioning.

Change of Company name

With reference to the Company Charter as amended by the decision of the extraordinary general meeting of participants of AAEM LLC of 12 November 2015, the corporate name of the Company has been changed.

The full corporate name of the Company in Russian is now Общество с ограниченной ответственностью «Турбинные технологии ААЭМ».

The abbreviated corporate name of the Company in Russian is ООО «ААЭМ».

The full corporate name of the Company in English is now “Turbine Technology AAEM” Limited Liability Company.

The abbreviated corporate name of the Company in English is “AAEM” LLC.
