AAEM took part in the Forum of Nuclear Industry Suppliers held in Cairo

AAEM took part in the 2nd Forum organized for the nuclear industry suppliers by the Rosatom State Corporation and Nuclear Power Plants Authority (NPPA) of Arab Republic of Egypt. This event was held on October 8 to 9 in Cairo (Egypt) as part of the International Industrial and Technology Trade Fair and the Big Industrial Week Forum.

During this Forum its participants had a chance to discuss key aspects of the El Dabaa project implementation process including the cooperation of designers, national regulators and businesses during the plant construction phase, different approaches to equipment acceptance and incoming inspections, as well as issues related to the Rosatom procurement system, rules and features of tendering procedures.

As part of the session "Approaches to Equipment Acceptance and Incoming Inspections", AAEM presented the report "Supply of Turbine Island Equipment".

In their speeches, Sergey Miropolsky, AAEM El Dabaa Project Director, and Alexander Podkatilin, AAEM Quality Manager, described the approach used by AAEM to maintain high quality and safety of the equipment supplied for nuclear power plant projects, and also demonstrated how quality assurance tools are introduced at each equipment supply phase starting from the preparation of quality control plans, qualification of suppliers, assessment of production readiness, inspections during manufacturing, and till acceptance inspections, evaluation of the supplier and the experience gained for further deliveries.

Such an approach allows AAEM to deliver high quality of the supplied equipment and efficiently fulfil contractual obligations in nuclear power plant construction projects.
